When Will We Learn?

I can’t tell you how many times I have strayed away from my dedicated time with God because of my own desire to spend my time more productively doing the things I feel I must do. Yet, every time I come back to that quiet place talking with God and being present with Him, I am always amazed. It’s as if He knows, and He does, exactly where I leave off and when I will pick back up again!

This morning was one of those days. It is my desire to start my day with God because I know that is the best way to stay intuned with Him, His desires, and His Will for my life. Then, it is the evil one who tempts me into wondering what’s happening on Facebook or who responded to my messages, etc. Once I give in to the distraction, it just spirals into my day and God is left waiting for me to return. I always return in the evening in prayer, but had I started my day with Him instead, the result would have been so much greater!

You see, as we grow in our desire to please Him above all else, we gain strength to resist these distractions. It is a daily battle, but if we stick with God, we can’t go wrong – for God is the way! For me, it’s as if He answers my prayers almost immediately at times. I always give Him the praise and express my gratitude towards Him because without Him it would not be possible! I give Him thanks first, and then I let Him know what it is I need. I always ask Him to bring the right people into my life to help me do His Will!

If you are lucky enough to know in your heart what His Will is for you, then you are truly blessed. He has a plan for all of us and He gave each of us a Gift that we are capable of blessing so many with. For me, every since I was a young child, He placed a dream in my heart to be an Author. I never thought that would happen in a million years, but He had a plan. You’ve heard though that it will happen in His Timing, that is so true. I had tried earlier to attempt writing a book, but nothing ever happened. His plan for me was to write spiritual inspirational stories and that plan took time. It took Him putting me into situations where I could learn what I needed to learn before I was actually ready. He placed certain people in my path that would help me. He led me in the right direction and reguided my steps when I took the wrong path. Nothing will stop His Plan, though it may take you much longer to get there when you are not listening and following His lead.

Now that I know this, when I pray, He answers me. I, though, have to be open and patient to recognizing His words, His plan, and His timing. I do this in knowing and believing in Him and Him alone! For His Spirit is always with me, and He can do amazing things! He has blessed me in so many ways and I know that the best is yet to come! He gave me a second chance at life. He allowed me to heal inside and out after a heart attack last year. He has blessed me with my second book, “Break Down Your Walls: Be the Person God Created…Be a Better YOU!” available now on Amazon. Where I share with you everything I learned and wish I had known before my heart attack. I learned how to deal with my stress, which is what caused my heart attack. Now, through my writing, I am able to help so many others who are struggling as well.

Now, He is working for me to put me in a situation where I can begin to grow my following in a manner that will allow me to dedicate more and more of my time on His Will. I have found that His Will for me is inspiring others to become a better person, physically, emotionally, and spiritually. The current path He is leading me on is the natural path of wellness in living an abundant life of overall wellness by spreading the love of essential oils. Gratitude Fills My Heart

I was wondering what I could blog about and it became so clear to me, because I have so much to be thankful for. God gave me a second chance at life. He took control of my life and forced me to take the time I needed to rest, to heal, to grow, and to become a better person…the person He created me to be!

As I sit here looking at this rock and the word Gratitude, it means so much because I am grateful for so much in my life right now. I truly feel as if I am in the middle of such a pivotal point in my life. I’m 54 years young, happily married, and have a wonderful family. I have my health back, and I am conquering stress. While it will always be a challenge, I feel like I finally have it all figured out. Sometimes, I have to remind myself to give it to God and listen to my own words and remember that we can only change our reactions. We can’t change people or situations, and worrying about it, isn’t going to change anything! You see, after my heart attack last year and all the soul searching and self-development I went through, I now feel like I have a secret and I want to share it with the world.

My second book, Break Down Your Walls: Be the Person God Created You to Be … Be a Better You!, is allowing me to share that secret and I couldn’t be happier. It’s only be out for a couple of weeks and I have already received messages from people saying how much they’ve enjoyed it and they are now buying more for their friends and family! I have received so many good blessings and I know that this is just going to continue more and more as I continue to plant seeds of healing greatness.

Many of you may know that it’s always been my mission to inspire other people to become a better version of themselves – emotionally, physically, and spiritually and I couldn’t be happier than to be blessed with this dream! God gave me this dream many, many, years ago and now I am living it out. I know it is only going to get better, and I couldn’t be happier! I’ve been saying for a while now, “the time is now”, and that is where this pivotal point comes in! I truly believe I am in the midst of something so big it almost feels like a dream at times. How can you love what you are doing so much that it is all you want to do? That’s how I feel right now! I’ve always been a leader and not a follower, and now I am leading a group of other leaders on their own journey….this journey is what we call, the Young Living journey!

You see, everything I learned after my heart attack led me to Young Living. I haven’t even been with Young Living for a whole year, and yet I feel like I have grown a whole other family that I’ve known for years! We support each other and want everyone to grow together! We are all ranking up so quickly in this business because Essential Oils are a critical part to our overall wellness. Essential Oils have been around for over 23 years now, and we all Gary & Mary Young to thank for that! This new family I have come to love means the world to me, and everyone on my team is now my extended family. Knowing God is so Much More Than….

Knowing God is so much more than any activity of the mind. No matter what is going on in our lives, we always need to turn to God, trusting in Him will draw us closer to Him and He will make us stronger. He will get us through for He drells in our hearts through faith. We can not do it alone, but with Him we can do so much more!

“I pray that out of his gorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge – that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.” -Ephesians 3:16-19

Don’t be Foolish!

Life happens to get in the way some times and I find myself drifting. I’ve been receiving messages this week to get back in the game and start relying more on God. Whenever I start drifting, I try doing things on my own and without fail every time this happens….nothing happens. It takes a while until it dawns on me what I’m doing, or not doing before I reach out to the only one that can make things happen. The other night, I prayed for forgiveness and asked that He open my heart so that He can come back in with the vengence because I can’t do this on my own. I need Him to help me and guide me. I need Him to bring the right people into my life that will make a difference, so that I can do His Will.

The next day, He gave me an idea and I acted on it. That idea brought me a new friend and someone that I know I can help by sharing my story. We are actually meeting today and I can’t wait to spend some time with her. Through Him, I am meeting so many great new friends and building such amazing relationships. In the past I didn’t have that many friends and now I feel like I am becoming the luckiest lady in the world.

Even though I prayed and asked God to help, and He did, I still didn’t pick back up my book, “Jesus Calling” by Sarah Young, which I have come to absolutely love! I let Him down yet again. This morning though, was different. I still didn’t start my day out with God. Instead, I jumped on the computer and started checking Facebook and emails. Until, I came across Joel Osteen’s message of the day, which I had been avoiding lately as well because ‘I didn’t have the time’ to read. This morning though, I took the time and low and behold Joel’s message was the same I’ve been receiving…..start your day with God! Joel wrote about how we should never be too busy to talk to God and how we need to talk to Him throughout our day. After reading Joel’s message, I thanked God for finally getting through to me! I immediately got up and grabbed my book, Jesus Calling, and without fail here’s the message I read which took me all the way back to June 10th:

“Rest in Me, My Child, Give your mind a break from planning and trying to anticipate what will happen. Pray continually, asking My Spirit to take charge of the details of this day. Remember that you are on a journey with Me. When you try to peer into the future and plan for every possibility, you ignore your constant Companion, who sustains you moment by moment. As you gaze anxiously into the distance, you don’t even feel the strong grip of My hand holding yours. How foolish you are, My child!

Remembrance of Me is a daily dicipline. Never lose sight of My Presence with you. This will keep you resting in Me all day, every day.” – written by Sarah Young

Sarah has a way of writing in this book, that truly makes you feel as if God himself were speaking directly to you. I believe that He is. He gave her the words to write and He knew when I would be reading them. This book is so very impactful and has helped me recognize more and more just how much God has done for me! No more being foolish for me…I’m all in! I know I can’t do it without Him, so why do I try? No more!
