During my recovery in the hospital, I also learned that God is not the only one watching over me from above. When I was in and out of sleep after my heart attack, I went into a dream state where I saw three individuals sitting on a bench much like this one. Except, the bench was just above my bed sitting in the clouds and I could see many silhouettes of people, whom I believed to be angels in the distance. I could see the sides of the first two gentleman closest to me as they were sitting there just waiting. I recognized right away the first man was my father. He looked exactly like he did back in the 70’s with his long sideburns, yet he could not look down at me. The second man, a bit taller than my dad, was my stepfather. He was looking over my dad and down on me with such a loving, yet concerned, look. The third man, I could not see, but somehow I just knew in my heart it was my grandfather. That surprised me more than anything, because for so long I thought my grandmother was one of my guardian angels. Oh, I’m sure she’s still looking down and watching, but this would be the second time now that my grandfather has come to me in a dream just like this and the only time I have dreamed about him since his death.
There is something to be said about the power of three and this holds true for me as well. Three has always been my lucky number and a number I gravitate to. I love to give three kisses good night or goodbye – one is never enough! One night when I was so stressed out, I felt the presence of someone sitting on my bed behind me three times. It was as if one person sat down and got up, and then another, and then yet another. I swore someone was there; but every time I looked, there was no one. I was awake and it kinda freaked me out a little. Eventually, I just brushed it aside and thought it must be my grandmother checking in on me. After this dream in the hospital though, I now know it was my three guardian angels blessing me and letting me know everything was going to be alright.
Do you know who your guardian angels are? How do they show up to you? Some leave dimes, some show up as butterflies, feathers, hearts. Our loved ones find many ways to show us they are still among us and with us. Never fear for they are still very near! This dream I had in the hospital, it was very real and I no longer have fear of dying. I know my loved ones will be with me one day and we will all meet on the other side – the never ending journey with God!
For a few days I had been struggling with doubt and in my daily quiet time with God the other day, which happened to be my birthday, I asked Him for a sign – a sign that was so clear that I was following His Plan. Later that day, I decided it was way too nice of a day to stay in the house. I packed a bag for a hike and gathered my dog and jumped in the car.
I have a quiet place I found in a park not far from my house where I love to sit and be with God listening to the trickle of the water of the stream as it flows on by. When I am in the moment with God, I am always looking for hearts and crosses. Today was no different! I was combing the waters edge looking for heart shaped rocks and as always, he sent me one. Today though, I wanted something better. As I looked at the rock I said, “is this all you can do God, can’t you do better?”
And within not even 30 seconds, this second bigger rock came into view and I was blown away!!!
Not only does it have a heart within the rock but there are markings that look like the river ran through it, almost in the form of a cross! Do you see it???
God is always with us and He hears us. We just have to have Faith! I will add these to my collection for sure!
Thank you God for your Birthday gift today!!
“To fall in love with God is the greatest of all romances;
to seek him, the greatest adventure;
to find him, the great human achievement.” ~ Raphael Simon
When I realize I need to get grounded and spend time with God, I typically turn on my spiritual playlist and start singing and praising him through song. I also love to get outside for a hike back to nature, or a walk looking up into the clouds. I love to look for signs from God, which typically come in the form of hearts, crosses, and affirmations. The other day I was driving down the road singing along with my playlist, and everywhere I looked I found a cross. They were actual crosses, or I saw a cross in a light post on the side of the road, or a cross sign, and even things that weren’t crosses, my eyes found a way to turn them into a cross. It was apparent that God was with me and I felt so blessed. I felt like I could tackle anything.
That evening in my quiet time with God I was thanking Him for his presence earlier that day in my journal. I journal to God every day giving Him thanks and asking for His help in areas where I need support, or sending up blessings and prayers for loved ones. On that journal entry, I ended it writing, “You are my Rock!”, and then it hit me and I remembered the heart shaped rock I found a week or so ago while I was out hiking. Moments like that truly stop my heart for a second and I realize what He has done for me in my life and the blessings He is still sending my way! He truly is my rock, my fortress, my everything!
God speaks to us all differently, sometimes we just have to be open to hearing his soft voice or recognizing those signs He sends us. I encourage you to look for the signs, listen for His voice, and reach out because He is always there!
I have found that when I am open to Signs from God, I actually find more of them! To be open to finding them, we need to focused on Him and His presence. He is always with us. Though, when we aren’t focused on Him, our thoughts may wander. We may go astray. When you recognize this, turn your thoughts back to God. Look for the signs. They are there. God speaks to us in many different ways. The signs we receive may be different for so many of us.
For me, the signs I receive that leave me feeling like He is present, are crosses, hearts, butterflies, words of affirmation, and when listening to my spiritual music!
The other week when I was feeling down, I took a hike in the woods and the signs were definitely present. I received many that had me feeling so blessed. Being in nature always brings me closer to God and by the time I got back home I felt so blessed and in such a state of peacefulness.
To many, the picture above would have just looked like two trees laying in the woods that had fallen down. To me though, when you zoom in on the picture, there laid a cross. Later on, I stopped by the stream and sat for a while. This is when I found a heart-shaped rock…another sign from God. When I recognize these signs, it’s like I stop in my tracks and I lose my breath for a second. Then I just take a deep breath in and know that God is with me! He cares, and He wants me to know that everything will be ok!
Life can be overwhelming, as I’m sure you know. Stress can be so overbearing and can truly affect your health in so many ways. I’ve learned this the hard way and am still learning how to better take care of myself.
“Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.” ~ Phillipians 4:6
After I had a heart attack almost 3 years ago, God has slowly been transforming me into the person He truly created me to be. I’ve found more natural solutions to help ease my anxieties and stress. I’ve learned how to listen to my body, recognize the signs of those trigger points that tend to appear letting me know I need to slow down and just breathe, and I’ve learned to rely so much more on God for everything! He has shown me how to remove the toxins from my life, and that includes all types of toxins. Yes, harsh chemicals, but also toxic relationships that bring me down. Now is the time for me. A time for healing and restoration.
I realize that I’m not alone in this struggle and the struggle is real, so this is why I share. I want everyone to know they aren’t alone and that there is a better way to live a life with less stress. Maybe not less stress, because life happens right, but managed stress and knowing you are not alone. God never promised us a life without trials. It’s these trials that make us stronger. Recognizing my desire to share and help others through these stressful times, God has blessed me with the ability to be vulnerable and transparent, and I have taken this to another level recently.
I’ve started leaving my own signs behind hoping that another believer will recognize this as a sign from God as well. I’m praying that someone walking along the same path may run into the crosses I leave behind and recognize it too as a Sign from God. A cross meant to touch their heart so that they too stop breathing for a second and realize that God is with them in that very moment and that they are not alone.
Blessing another believer gives me such peace and gratitude. Blessing someone who may be struggling with their belief into believing, or even wondering, ‘is this a sign?’, brings me joy and hope for a brighter future for so many more believers sharing their love of God and their story!
When you love someone enough to let them go in peace, it can be very hard to make such a decision. Whether that someone is a person you loved dearly, or man’s best friend who has been by your side through thick and thin for 14 years, making the decision to let them go because you know it is for their best is one of the hardest things you can do. This year I have had to make both of these decisions and both were extremely hard!
Just the other day, my son and I had to make the decision to put down our best dog ever! This poor dog was given away by someone walking through the Mall offering this adorable little puppy a free home. My son’s friend took the dog and kept her for a few days while he was in college until he realized he couldn’t possibly care for this dog in a dorm. That’s when my son decided to bring her home, and at 2am in the morning, dropped this adorable little puppy on my bed and said, “look what I brought home”.
Who knows where she would have wound up had God not had a plan to bring her into our life. She gave us all so much love and joy. She was always there by my side and it didn’t matter how many times I went up and down the steps, she was right there! When I moved into my own townhome recently, I went back to get her for a visit and decided I was going to keep her with me so that she could have some peace in her old age until it was her time. Just three weeks ago, the vet thought she would have another two years. And that’s when we both started to Rally and were so happy together. We started taking walks and enjoying each other’s company even so much more until her Rally was up. What a difference a day made to her tired old body!
Deciding to let her go was very painful, but you don’t want to see them suffer. Thanking God that we have the ability to put our animals out of their pain and suffering and wishing we could do the same for those we love who are suffering in their last days. It only seems fair, but I will stop at that because I could go on and on.
What I really want to share with you though is just how amazing it is when you have God in your life and have a relationship with Him that you are continually building on. It’s like the closer you become to God, the more He does for you. The more you recognize His presence. The more you recognize Signs from God. You learn more all the time how to be still and listen for His soft voice. You feel His presence and you just know that all is going to be ok because you have Faith in Him and through His Holy Spirit that He will guide us on the path that is right. Faith that should we stray the wrong way, He will still work it out for the betterment of all.
Then one day you sit back and you are able to see the puzzle pieces come together and just how God worked it out even when you thought it was supposed to happen another way at the time. Even though we may fight for what we want, if it is not God’s plan, it will not happen! God has perfect timing and the death of my beloved Dixie was a perfect timing as well. And as I sit and look at this picture my son just posted on Facebook, it is clear as day to me that God is with Dixie and she is happy once again and is still with us. The sun shining down through the trees with the Cross so bright, and then the orb in the bottom of the picture is where I can see Dixie’s eye is several different phases.
You may not be able to see what I see, but it is these signs that we all receive and see differently. We just have to be open to seeing them. God’s Signs are everywhere. I find them in the clouds, the sun, the wind, the rain, and I’m always looking for crosses and hearts everywhere. Today, it was this picture!
This is an understatement for me and when I saw this post I knew immediately I needed to elaborate a little on why!
God never said life wasn’t going to be hard, but He did say He would always be there for us and He would get us through. My relationship with God these past two years has grown tremendously, especially after my heart attack in 2016. He has given me so many signs over the years, but these last two years His prescense has been more and more visible to me through His Signs. I now know that with Him, I can get through anything.
Change has to come from us though, because we can’t change anyone else. We can only change our reactions. We have to learn what our limits are; our priorities; and, what we are willing to endure. Change is not easy and I think everyone would agree on that! With change there are lots of emotional battles fighting the change, which can lead to depression and living through some of the toughest decisions you will ever have to make or are forced to live through. Again, God never said life would be easy.
I can say though, that God has brought me this far, and God will get me through. He has shown me so many signs, left me so many messages that I feeled totally blessed to have been able to recognize. Again, this morning He took me back to my very own book, “Break Down Your Walls: Be the Person God Created You to Be…Be a Better You!”, and it was my very own words that got me through my morning prayers and reconfirmed His Will for me and lightened my soul knowing that I am taking the right path….His path for what I need right now.
This journey so far, for sure, has been eye-opening and the signs I have received …. absolutely unforgettable!!!
Get out of your comfort zone. Get out of the boat, and dance on water with God!
Last night at Bible Study, I met an amazing leader and I know that she will play a role in my success in making my biggest dream come true! In fact, she already has! She and I have alot in common and I know once we find time to meet and get to know each other, the similarities will grow. How do I know this? God brought her into my life for a reason!
You see, the first day my best friend and I decided to check out this new Church called Lifepoint, and we sat in the audience in awe, the music and the people drew us both in. I felt the music in my very soul, I felt His presence in my heart and felt as if my heart was beating stronger as a result. I knew in that moment that this Church would become a part of me. I told my friend, Karen, that one day I will be standing on that stage.
This is basically the same message that this amazing leader spoke about last night! She talked about how she sat in the back row of this very same church when God spoke to her and gave her the same dream and she followed His every move to be that leader on stage speaking for God! I had to meet her! I didn’t hesitate, not even for one second, to walk up to her and introduce myself. Years ago, I never would have done such a thing. I was too shy, too intimidated, too scared. But ever since God directed me and placed that desire in my heart to write my first book, “Signs from God”, He has constantly urged me to get out of my comfort zone and put my faith in Him! I’ve taken that chance every time and I know that one day, I too, will be on that stage dancing with God!
Everyone has a life to live; everyone has a job to do in this life. So live your life, but take some time to really think about what your purpose is in this life. How can you help other people? How can you help spread God’s Love? Is it through healing? Is it through your music? Is it through teaching? Is it through serving? There are so many different ways we can do God’s work. Spend time with God and He will lead you. Ask for His help and He will guide you. Believe in His timing and know that He is with you and loves you unconditionally, all the time. He will help you get out of your comfort zone. He will bring the people into your life, at the right time, to ensure you have everything you need to be successful. God wants you to step out of that boat; out of your comfort zone; away from safety, and put your trust in Him! He not only wants you to walk on water like Peter, He wants us to Dance on Water with Him!
Start speaking life and purpose so that you feel it in your soul! You are meant to make a difference in this lifetime! With God’s help you can do anything you set your mind to! Here’s a picture I had taken after a Young Living conference when I knew that one day I would be up on a stage, bigger than this one, speaking about stress, anxiety, depression, and Miracles and how Young Living and the Lord changed my life!
God has a purpose for each and every one of us. Some of us know what that purpose is from a very young age. Some of us ignore the feeling of purpose for our own pleasures and it takes us longer to realize what God has in store for us. When we stay close to God, thank Him for His blessings, recognize His work in our lives, and contine to talk with Him and become closer to Him every day, that is when we realize the enormous gift of abundance He wants to provide us with in this life!
As we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.”
– Romans 8:28
Therefore, take time to be with God. Talk with God like you would your best friend, for God is your best, closest, dearest friend, who loves you more than life itself! Listen to that soft voice when you are spending time with Him. He will guide you, and when you take the wrong turn, He will readjust your path every time.
Since I was a little girl, God placed a dream in my heart to be an Author. It took me over 40 years, but I am now an author of two spiritual books on Amazon:
And, now He has led me to Young Living Essential Oils: Believe In Essentials He has given me the venue to share my story, my mother’s miracle, and how stress has played a role in both of our lives. He is allowing me to share our books, share my love of oils, and fulfill His Will and purpose for my life! Helping others is all I wish to do and that I know is His purpose for me! I realize what I am living now is only the beginning of what He has in store for me, and the journey I am on is going to be grander than anything I ever imagined?
What is your purpose, and are you on the right path?
From time to time we all may stray from God. It’s normal. He knows we will, but He continually calls us back to Him. It’s always an open invitation. We just need to respond by reaching back out to God. He is always there with us. That soft voice of a whisper you hear at times in your head, that is God leading you back to Him. All we need to do is take time to talk with God and become closer. It’s no great effort on our part – we just need to give in and open our hearts to His loving presence. He wants us to experience the depth of His love for us.
God never said that life would easy. He never said we wouldn’t experience pain, but He did say He would never foresake us. He may not provide immediate relief when we pray for Him to do so, but know that He is setting in motion the conditions we need. It just won’t happen on our timetable. God’s plan is the best plan. Remember, too, that God gifts everyone something different. He may have blessed one person with abundance and they seem to be living a life of ease. Yet He may have blessed another person with fragility, and through that they too will learn their lessons and be blessed in many ways through their struggles, and yet still live a life of abundance!
No matter what we are blessed with, know that we are God’s children and He wants the best for each of us. When we seek God and make the time to grow closer to Him, He comes closer to us. He will renew our hearts. He will make us strong. He will get us through the toughest of situations. He will give us lasting life.
“I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh. And I will put my Spirit in you and move you to follow my decrees and be careful to keep my laws.” – Ezekiel 36:27
You see when we become closer to God, our spirit does renew; because His Spirit is in us. It is that soft voice we hear that moves us to follow His plan. We just need to be open to receiving His Word and knowing it is His Will that we are acting on. Like I posted the other day, brush off that devil on your shoulder and let the good guy win! With God we can do so much more! With God, we will live an abundant life!
I can’t tell you how many times I have strayed away from my dedicated time with God because of my own desire to spend my time more productively doing the things I feel I must do. Yet, every time I come back to that quiet place talking with God and being present with Him, I am always amazed. It’s as if He knows, and He does, exactly where I leave off and when I will pick back up again!
This morning was one of those days. It is my desire to start my day with God because I know that is the best way to stay intuned with Him, His desires, and His Will for my life. Then, it is the evil one who tempts me into wondering what’s happening on Facebook or who responded to my messages, etc. Once I give in to the distraction, it just spirals into my day and God is left waiting for me to return. I always return in the evening in prayer, but had I started my day with Him instead, the result would have been so much greater!
You see, as we grow in our desire to please Him above all else, we gain strength to resist these distractions. It is a daily battle, but if we stick with God, we can’t go wrong – for God is the way! For me, it’s as if He answers my prayers almost immediately at times. I always give Him the praise and express my gratitude towards Him because without Him it would not be possible! I give Him thanks first, and then I let Him know what it is I need. I always ask Him to bring the right people into my life to help me do His Will!
If you are lucky enough to know in your heart what His Will is for you, then you are truly blessed. He has a plan for all of us and He gave each of us a Gift that we are capable of blessing so many with. For me, every since I was a young child, He placed a dream in my heart to be an Author. I never thought that would happen in a million years, but He had a plan. You’ve heard though that it will happen in His Timing, that is so true. I had tried earlier to attempt writing a book, but nothing ever happened. His plan for me was to write spiritual inspirational stories and that plan took time. It took Him putting me into situations where I could learn what I needed to learn before I was actually ready. He placed certain people in my path that would help me. He led me in the right direction and reguided my steps when I took the wrong path. Nothing will stop His Plan, though it may take you much longer to get there when you are not listening and following His lead.
Now that I know this, when I pray, He answers me. I, though, have to be open and patient to recognizing His words, His plan, and His timing. I do this in knowing and believing in Him and Him alone! For His Spirit is always with me, and He can do amazing things! He has blessed me in so many ways and I know that the best is yet to come! He gave me a second chance at life. He allowed me to heal inside and out after a heart attack last year. He has blessed me with my second book, “Break Down Your Walls: Be the Person God Created…Be a Better YOU!” available now on Amazon. Where I share with you everything I learned and wish I had known before my heart attack. I learned how to deal with my stress, which is what caused my heart attack. Now, through my writing, I am able to help so many others who are struggling as well.
Now, He is working for me to put me in a situation where I can begin to grow my following in a manner that will allow me to dedicate more and more of my time on His Will. I have found that His Will for me is inspiring others to become a better person, physically, emotionally, and spiritually. The current path He is leading me on is the natural path of wellness in living an abundant life of overall wellness by spreading the love of essential oils.
