“Fragrance” could be one of the most dangerous words in the English language when it’s found in an ingredient list. The word “fragrance” or “parfum” may actually refer to a blend of many undisclosed ingredients all bundled up under the umbrella of one word. In order to protect trade secrets, fragrance gets a free pass from full disclosure. This outdated regulation, designed to conceal ingredients from the eyes of corporate competitors, now does the same for consumers who are inclined to scan labels for harmful ingredients. In 2015, the International Fragrance Association released a master list of more than 3,999 chemicals used by most manufacturers. The list includes carcinogens, endocrine disruptors, reproductive toxicants and numerous allergens (to name a few). A fragrance can be made up of any combination of these harmful chemicals that are absorbed rapidly when inhaled or when they come in contact with our skin.
Trashing your favorite scented products (lotions, scented candles and wax melts, air fresheners, shampoo, etc.) may be a sacrifice at first, but you won’t regret tossing these things. This transition is simple with essential oils! Of course essential oils are much more than just scents, but fortunately, so many of them smell awesome! Get rid of those scented toxins and start experimenting with your diffuser! The aroma combinations are endless, and it’s encouraging to know that these scents are not only safe; they actually benefit your body as you inhale them!
And here’s a great diffusing blend I created just recently called “Signs from God”!!! (2 drops of each: Hope, Frankincense, Hinoki, Believe) Note: Oola Faith essential oil is a blend of Frankincense and Hinoki! I didn’t have Faith, but had Frankincense and Hinoki! Use your App and see what are in the blends, maybe you can make your own favorites too!

I was wondering what I could blog about and it became so clear to me, because I have so much to be thankful for. God gave me a second chance at life. He took control of my life and forced me to take the time I needed to rest, to heal, to grow, and to become a better person…the person He created me to be!
As I sit here looking at this rock and the word Gratitude, it means so much because I am grateful for so much in my life right now. I truly feel as if I am in the middle of such a pivotal point in my life. I’m 54 years young, happily married, and have a wonderful family. I have my health back, and I am conquering stress. While it will always be a challenge, I feel like I finally have it all figured out. Sometimes, I have to remind myself to give it to God and listen to my own words and remember that we can only change our reactions. We can’t change people or situations, and worrying about it, isn’t going to change anything! You see, after my heart attack last year and all the soul searching and self-development I went through, I now feel like I have a secret and I want to share it with the world.
My second book, Break Down Your Walls: Be the Person God Created You to Be … Be a Better You!, is allowing me to share that secret and I couldn’t be happier. It’s only be out for a couple of weeks and I have already received messages from people saying how much they’ve enjoyed it and they are now buying more for their friends and family! I have received so many good blessings and I know that this is just going to continue more and more as I continue to plant seeds of healing greatness.
Many of you may know that it’s always been my mission to inspire other people to become a better version of themselves – emotionally, physically, and spiritually and I couldn’t be happier than to be blessed with this dream! God gave me this dream many, many, years ago and now I am living it out. I know it is only going to get better, and I couldn’t be happier! I’ve been saying for a while now, “the time is now”, and that is where this pivotal point comes in! I truly believe I am in the midst of something so big it almost feels like a dream at times. How can you love what you are doing so much that it is all you want to do? That’s how I feel right now! I’ve always been a leader and not a follower, and now I am leading a group of other leaders on their own journey….this journey is what we call, the Young Living journey!
You see, everything I learned after my heart attack led me to Young Living. I haven’t even been with Young Living for a whole year, and yet I feel like I have grown a whole other family that I’ve known for years! We support each other and want everyone to grow together! We are all ranking up so quickly in this business because Essential Oils are a critical part to our overall wellness. Essential Oils have been around for over 23 years now, and we all Gary & Mary Young to thank for that! Essential Oils have become so prevalent in today’s current society that everyone is turning to a more natural way of living and looking at other healthier, cleaner, alternatives to living a better life.
This new family I have come to love means the world to me, and everyone on my team is now my extended family. I want the best for them and can’t wait to help them make their own dreams come true as well!
