Hold Onto Your Dreams

Do you have a dream or a goal for your life? I hope that you do because everyone should have something to work towards, look forward to, and get excited about! Don’t let that dream just be a dream though. I urge you to be committed and determined never to give up!

Just because you have a dream and you pray that it comes true, doesn’t mean it will. God may have another plan for you that is better. No matter what that plan is though, you have to work at it. Good things take time. Little by Little with God’s help He will point you in the right direction. He will bring the right people into your life to help you. It can be accomplished. Things that develop slowly are accomplished with hard work and patience. The foundation-laying years of a successful business, or life, are not necessarily exciting, but they are absolutely necessary if we want something that will last. Expect Challenges because that is where we learn to grow. Develop yourself. Become a better person, the person God created you to be.

Dream Big Dreams! God wants us to be happy and He wants us to live an abundant life!

Hold Onto Your Dreams

Are You Arguing With Your Other Self?

There are times in life when we tend to doubt ourselves, our decisions, and second guess everything we do. It’s almost like we are two people. One of us has a plan, knows what they want, and can actually be happy about the potential outcome. Then there is this other person within us that always shows up and creates an internal battle inside your soul that can leave you feeling broken, stressed, a nervous wreck, and even make you so sick you break down.  That’s actually what happened to my mother. It’s amazing that I am able to recognize this in my own life as a result of what my mother went through all those years ago.

I am so blessed to have such a strong mother, she was a fighter. She turned to God, and God took control. If you are struggling with a similar situation, or just doubting your own ability to make a decision, I encourage you to Stop Fighting Yourself, and Start Fighting For Yourself!

Listen to your heart and validate what it is YOU actually want. Push aside all the chatter of everyone else, and stop worrying about pleasing everyone because you simply can’t. Don’t worry what people think of you, because they are not living in your shoes. Do what is right for you and keep the faith that you are making the right decision. Even if it is the wrong decision, God will find a way to turn it around and make it even better!

Someone recently told me that you are the only driver of your train; the train of your life! You can’t drive someone else’s train. You can’t change anyone; they have to be willing to do the hard work themselves. What you can do though, is protect your conductor. That protection comes from God, and He is fighting for us even when we can’t fight for ourselves. So give your burdens and your worries to God and let Him carry the them for you. Listen to what He has to say, validate whether or not you need to act or take an action regarding your situation, and do your best to follow His path. Then come back to the present and live one day at a time; just keep on keeping on and move forward knowing you did the best you could for you!

With God’s help you can fight for yourself! Fight for your life! Fight for what is right!

Things Will Work Out!

For the past few days, my messages from God have been so clear! The messages I receive and timing in which I receive them, truly amaze me and they have over the years so many times. His timing and how He relays these messages can be mind-blowing. At times, I just sit and shake my head, sometimes I laugh, sometimes I cry, but every time I know it was a sign, a message from God that I am an on the right path.

You have to be open to recognizing these signs. You have to be on the look-out for them as well. I’ve heard and read so many times, ask and you shall receive, and I have! True, sometimes not right away, but in His time I receive what I am looking for, waiting for, and have asked for and it comes my way! Even when I don’t receive everything I have asked for, I know there is a reason for that. Some of our unanswered prayers are the best, because something even better was given to us in its place.

God knows what we are going through. He knows the issues we are dealing with. He knows our deepest, darkest secrets. He knows everything, even the move we are going to make before we make it. That’s how He knows what we need, and when we take the wrong turn, He is there to re-direct our path so that in the end it will all work out for the better!

Every trial we go through is a testament of His love for us. He wants us to become closer to Him and trust in Him alone. Through the trials of our lives, and in our darkest times, is when we typically turn to God. When we do, He is there to guide our path and makes us even stronger. He makes us better people. He helps us become the person He created us to be! So rest peacefully knowing that even though you may be struggling at this very moment, that God is with you, and God will always be there for you. Talk to him as you would your friend, because He is your very best friend, and He will never leave your side! In fact, sometimes, God deliberately sets us back, so that we can we have the time to heal, to take care of ourselves, to recognize our need for God in our lives. This is when he is testing us and our faith. God wants us to think of Him first. He wants us to become closer to Him, and He wants what is best for all of us.

Think about all the people who have come and gone in your lifetime for a minute. Try to recognize how that person changed your life, or maybe how you changed theirs. It can truly be overwhelming when you really sit and think about it. It’s such a larger picture than you and I could ever imagine; down to the tiniest of details. God may shut some doors, but He opens others. There are so many people that will enter your life as the years move on.

God has brought me so many wonderful new amazing friends this past year that I don’t know what I would have done without them in my life right now. I thank God every day for everyone of them, and I am continually learning to be myself, trust in God, listen to what I need and not what everyone else may need. We have to take care of ourself before we can help everyone else. No matter how hard it may seem, God has our backs, and things will work out! Things will work out for the best – the way He wants them to, and in his timing, because he wants what is best for everyone involved – not just you!

Hope for a Different Kind of Better!

Today was a little enlightening for me. I’m an author, as you know, so I write alot; I journal alot; and I am very close to God. Despite that closeness, I too struggle. We all struggle with life at times, and with the decisions we make every day. Then we have to deal with the consequences from those decisions. We have to decide, is this what I really want? Is this what I really need? The struggle is real. I am no different than anyone else who might be reading this. We all wonder from time to time, why Lord? Now what Lord? What is your plan for me? Which path should I take? Send me a sign God! Please help me to understand God!

So, today, I thought I needed to listen to some of my own advice. Silly as it seems, I picked up my book, “Break Down Your Walls: Be the Person God Created You to Be…Be a Better You!” And I began reading my Chapter, The Lord is Our Protector, and in my own words received a Sign from God, who brought me back to this book and my own words, where I read:

“Sometimes you’ll never get back to the way things were before, no matter how hard you try, but you must grow to accept that, and know that it will become a different kind of better.” – Sharon Shabinaw

Different Kindof Better!

No matter what situation you may be dealing with, know that God is with you, and God is for you! He will always be with you. Just reach out your hand and whisper His name. He will walk beside you the entire time, and He will carry you when you need to be carried!

Just remember, no matter what, there is always hope, and in every situation there is something positive to be recognized. Even our unanswered prayers turn out to be some of our greatest gifts. We just have to look a little deeper and widen our lens of view to see the bigger picture and where His hands have been and the blessings He has given us!

Could This Be Your Sign from God?

If you are seeing this post, that either means you’ve been following me, or God had a plan for you to find this message!  For that I want to THANK YOU and GOD!  Consider yourself blessed today because this is exactly what you need in your life!

Finding Peace Within

Always stay true to yourself! You may lose some lose some friends and even loved ones, but those that stick with you, believe in you, and want what’s best for you, are worth the risk of losing when you do find yourself and who is still standing with you! But one thing is for sure, even if no one is standing by your side when you look in the mirror and see your true self, know that GOD IS ALWAYS WITH YOU!!!!

find yourself

There is one book, “Jesus Calling”, by Sarah Young, that I have picked up every day for the last two in half years. I highly recommend this daily devotional as it has touched my life in so many ways. It is as if God is speaking directly to me on so many days and in so many ways! He too will speak to you through Sarah!  I’m going to quote the devotional that prompted today’s message above!

I have promised to meet all your needs according to My glorious riches. Your deepest, most constant need is for My Peace. I have planted Peace in the garden of your heart, where I live, but there are weeds growing there too: pride, worry, selfishness, unbelief. I am the Gardener, and I am working to rid your heart of those weeds. I do My work in various ways. When you sit quietly with Me, I shine the Light of My Presence directly into your heart. In this heavenly Light, Peace grows abundantly and weeds shrivel up. I also send trials into your life. When you trust Me in the midst of trouble, Peace flourishes and weeds die away. Thank Me for troublesome situations; the Peace they can produce far outweighs the trials you endure.”

– Sarah Young

It’s important that we do put aside every day some quiet time to sit and talk to God. Give Him your burdens. Talk to Him as you would your best friend. Welcome Him into your heart, and He will remove the weeds from your life! Just remember, it is in His timing and that there will be mountains we must climb if we are to learn to become better versions of ourselves!  Enjoy the journey – the good and the bad – look for the positive in everything because everything happens for a reason!

Find Your Peace

Everyone is dealing with issues, some more profound than others. Some people are more open and verbal in expressing their troubles, fears, and their life in general. While others hold things deep inside and keep things bottled up in fear of upsetting someone or being seen for who they really are.  Yet, both types of individuals, can be seen from afar and you would never know what they might be dealing with, if anything at all.

Then there’s people like me, that are a combination of both, they may tell their dearest friend, their mother, or someone else close enough to them their dark deepest secrets and keep it bottled up from the rest of the world. No matter how you deal with your issues, it all comes down to the same thing. You have to deal with them! I was praying to God this morning and asked him to help me sort something out in my life. I’ve given my burdens to Him in the past and He has kept me from getting over stressed and anxious. This continues to be a work in progress when it comes to dealing with stress and everything that can gets you down in life, but knowing God is there working on my behalf helps me get through.  This morning after my quiet time, was no different. I came into my office and started scrolling on Facebook and came across this message that I believe was an answer from God.

Find Your Peace

by Dan Pedersen

Worrying about what other people think about you, will prevent you from being your best.

It will prevent you from being real.

It will prevent you from doing the right thing.

It will prevent you from being what others need you to be (which isn’t always the same as what they want you to be).

It will prevent you from being at peace.

Do what brings you peace. Not only will you be more satisfied, but you’ll be what the world truly needs you to be. A peaceful mind creates peace in the world.

Yes, I believe this was meant for me to see this morning, and I hope it was meant for you to see today as well!  Give your burdens to the Lord, and He will help you find your Peace! Never give up hope!

Lighten Up and Laugh

Sometimes we just have to stop being so serious.

Sometimes we have to just give in and go along for the ride.

Sometimes we just have to lighten up and laugh!

The problem is in life that we want it to be perfect, but guess what? It’s just NOT going to be perfect. GOD did not promise us a perfect life. God told us that there will be mountains to climb and problems we will face.

“I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.” – John 16:33

We can choose to live trying to change our circumstances, or people, or problems all on our own, or we can trust in God and have faith that He is working on our behalf to make things right. We can give our burdens to Him and then rest in peace knowing that He is working on our behalf.  If there’s one that I’ve learned recently and have to keep reminding myself, is that we can’t change anyone or any situation we are faced with. We can only change our reaction to the person or situation. Instead of carrying that burden myself, I have chosen to give it to God and live day by day knowing that He is always with me. He is guiding me down the path of His Will for me and not my will for myself necessarily. For God knows everything, especially what is best for me.

I am choosing to have faith in this renewed knowledge and am choosing to live life one day at a time living in the moment. We all need to accept things and people for who they are and not what we want them to be. Choose to be happy, choose to lighten up, choose to laugh! Choose to find the positive in every situation will make it easier to be happy, to lighten up, and to laugh!

“In life, there is “a time to weep and a time to laugh,

a time to mourn and a time to dance.” – Ecclesiastes 3:4

Learn to take life in stride. There will be roller coaster rides that we are going to want to get off of, but it’s all up to God and his timing as to when that ride may end. Trust though in knowing the ride will always be for a reason. Sometimes we just need to trust God because we won’t always learn the purpose for the reason until we meet our Heavenly Father. It’s important to realize though, that the reason might not be all about us. He may be using us to help someone else, and teaching us a lesson in the meantime!

Now that’s something to think about!

So when it’s time to laugh, laugh! And know God is laughing with you.

lighten up and laugh

There Comes a Time…..

It may be at your highest high, or your lowest low, or just an ordinary moment, but there does come a time when you realize things happened the way they were suppose to happen. You realize that God had a plan, and that everything happens for a reason. That realization is such an amazing feeling as you begin to put the puzzle pieces of life together and see for yourself the impact that each of those puzzle pieces had in allowing the next to fit together so well.  Just as the puzzle you are building begins to become more visible, the faith and trust in our creator becomes much greater. That faith and trust allows joy to overflow in in our hearts to recognize the love in the bigger picture; His Plan!

“A man’s steps are directed by the Lord.

How then can anyone understand his own way?”

– Proverbs 20:24

Only God knows what the future holds and what our puzzle of life will look like in the end. It is up to us to trust His Plan and know that it is a better plan. Yet every step we take, we need to know that it will lead us to where He is taking us. Though we might fail, we might take the wrong turn, and it might take us a little longer to get back on track, have faith in knowing that God is holding our hand and leading us back to path He wants for us. Through each of these wrong turns, in reality were not a wrong turn because God knew that’s where we would go. During each of those wrong turns He created a lesson to be learned. He is always helping us become a better version of ourselves through these adversities and life’s difficulties no matter how big or small they may seem at the time.

You see, things will not happen on our timetable. We are not in charge of that no matter how hard we try. Yet, when we live day by day, moment by moment, and trust that God has a plan, we can leave behind us all of the worry and stress with God. Give Him your burdens, your worries, your stress and anxiety. Talk to God and ask for your deepest desires and He will give you a life filled with abundance, love, peace, and joy!

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord,

“plans to prosper you and not to hard you,

plans to give you hope and a future.”

– Jeremiah 29:11

What’s Your Purpose?

God has a purpose for each and every one of us. Some of us know what that purpose is from a very young age. Some of us ignore the feeling of purpose for our own pleasures and it takes us longer to realize what God has in store for us. When we stay close to God, thank Him for His blessings, recognize His work in our lives, and contine to talk with Him and become closer to Him every day, that is when we realize the enormous gift of abundance He wants to provide us with in this life!

As we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.”

– Romans 8:28

Therefore, take time to be with God. Talk with God like you would your best friend, for God is your best, closest, dearest friend, who loves you more than life itself! Listen to that soft voice when you are spending time with Him. He will guide you, and when you take the wrong turn, He will readjust your path every time.

Since I was a little girl, God placed a dream in my heart to be an Author. It took me over 40 years, but I am now an author of two spiritual books on Amazon:

Signs from God

Break Down Your Walls: Be the Person God Created You to Be…Be a Better You!

And, now He has led me to Young Living Essential Oils: Believe In Essentials He has given me the venue to share my story, my mother’s miracle, and how stress has played a role in both of our lives. He is allowing me to share our books, share my love of oils, and fulfill His Will and purpose for my life! Helping others is all I wish to do and that I know is His purpose for me!  I realize what I am living now is only the beginning of what He has in store for me, and the journey I am on is going to be grander than anything I ever imagined?

What is your purpose, and are you on the right path?
