We need God as much as He needs us to be the light for others. This world is a crazy place, but if us believers shine our lights and stay focused on God and His path for us we will will be able to help so many people see past the dark clouds and recognize the blue skies. They’ll be able to look past their pain and begin healing. They will begin to recognize the Signs from God and hear his soft whispers, just as we hear Him whisper to us!
We all have them. We all struggle with letting go our fears, anxieties, inabilities, weaknesses, temptations, and so many other feelings that are holding us back from our destiny. This morning during my quiet time with God, He gave me the inspiration to be vulnerable and to share what this means for me. Each one of us is different and walking our own journey. That’s right, we all have a story to tell. Some of us just hide our story all too well so that others have no clue of the struggles we are dealing with. We all would prefer to paint that perfect picture on social media, but that’s not real life.
Real life, is pain, suffering, frustration, fear, and lots of crazy emotions. Emotions can build up over time and affect our health in so many harmful ways. Take my heart attack for example. My stress and anxieties built up over years and then when I suddenly took on too much work stress, my body couldn’t take any more and my heart literally started to shut down. Since then, I have learned ways to better manage my stress, but we are all humans and we continue to deal with stressful situations that are beyond our control.
We need to recognize our insecurities and how they present themselves to us individually. For me, my chest gets tight and suddently I am found rubbing my chest to calm myself. Last night is one of those nights. This morning, I took some extra quiet time with God talking to Him and sharing my anxieties. We need to give Him all of our fears and let Him take that burden from us. We also need to find other behaviors that we can adapt into our daily lives that help us better manage our stress. May that is through meditation, yoga, spiritual readings, etc. For me, it’s a combination of several things.
Let’s take last night for example, I was sitting in my recliner and noticed I was trying to calm my inner stressors when it dawned on me to go some of my essential oils. If you’ve been following me, you know how much these oils have helped me balance my emotions and keep me spiritually grounded as well. The first oils I went for were Release, Acceptance, Grounding, and Stress Away. Within minutes I started to relax and I could no longer feel the pounding heartbeat or the knot in my chest, and I was breathing much easier.
Releasehelps me let go of negative thoughts and feelings.
Acceptancehelps stimulate the mind to open up and accept new things in life.
Groundinghelps keep me grounded so I can deal with reality in a more logical and peaceful manner. It’s great for emotional and spiritually grounding.
StressAwayliterally melts the stress from my shoulders.

This is a question that I was asked just this week, and I couldn’t help but to respond with a heartfelt, resounding, “YES!”
It is ok to pray for our own desires. After all, there are atleast 100 bible verses about praying for yourself. We shouldn’t be afraid to ask God for what we want, because He wants us to be happy. He wants to please us.
“Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find;
knock, and it will be opened to you.” ~ Matthew 7:7
I was then asked, “How do you do that?” It then dawned on me that we are all different in our spiritual growth and our own journey with God. I never grew up as a loyal church goer because of my mother’s illness and struggles. I actually felt deprived in this area. Though she certainly has made it up to me in my later years and I have learned so much. There isn’t though, to my knowledge, a right or wrong way to pray.
I have learned, or shall I say, practiced in my daily quiet time with God to always thank Him first for everything He has given me and allowed me to be blessed with. I thank Him for His continued increasing presence in my life and bringing me closer to Him more and more everyday. I thank Him for all of the small blessings and especially those larger blessings. Then when I am done praising Him for His works in me, I pray that He recognize other areas of my life I need help with, so that I am able to do His Will. I ask for guidance and patience. When it comes to my business, I ask that He sends me all the right people that I am able to bless and share my story with. I pray that they have open minds and a willingness to look outside of their comfort zone and at their own overall wellness needs.
You see, I truly believe God’s Will for me is to share about stress, anxiety, depression, and how I have learned to manage my stress levels and emotions using essential oils for emotional balance and spiritual grounding. God answered my prayer that day I prayed for a way to make money so that I could eventually quit my corporate job and do His Will. He placed a dream in my heart years and years ago to be an author and I am. He also placed a dream and continues to keep lighting the flame within my mother and I to tell her story of her miraculous healing back in 1980. Though as we have all heard, everything comes in His timing and not our own. Certain circumstances and events have had to happen in order for His Will to come together. For my mother and I, we feel we are getting closer and closer to that time when her story will be written.
We also feel that our following has increased and our journey has taken a slight turn. This slight turn though, has helped us learn how to live a healthier lifestyle. It has introduced us to so many amazing new friends. It has helped us remove the toxins from our lives, and it has helped us help so many families do the same thing. These families will continue to be blessed as a result of Young Living essential oils and our ability to be vulnerable. These families will be the ones that seek out our book, “A Mountain to Climb” and these families will be a part of our lives for a very long time. How do I know this, you ask?
I know, because I pray to God every day asking for him to bring me all the right people that will help make our dreams come true, and He brought me YOU!
We all know how important it is to have our ‘WHY’ documented and drilled down so far that it almost makes us cry, right? It needs to really light a fire within us. It needs to keep us motivated to keep moving forward even when we can’t see the next step. If you don’t know your ‘WHY’ yet, I urge you to work on that. Keep asking yourself, ‘WHY’! Why do you want to do what you are doing? Why?, Why? And eventually, you will get to the root of your why!
Once you know your why, picture yourself in an elevator with a stranger and you only have ten floors between you and your departure. The stranger greets you good morning, and asks you, “What do you do?” This is your chance to WOW them! Your elevator speech needs to be short (30 seconds short), to the point, and make them want to stay on the elevator so they can hear more or at least exchange contact info!
“After 18 years in the same corporate job dealing with stress and a declining paycheck, I decided to become my own boss by sharing my love of essential oils and how they have personally helped improve my health, manage my stress, and gain freedom! I have already helped hundreds of families live a healthier life by removing the harsh chemicals from their lives and am supporting them in meeting their goals and freedom! I’d love to share with you the steps I took if you’re interested!”
Here’s a guideline you could follow if you need help:
I’m a ___________.
I help __________
DO ____________
So They Can __________.
So what do you think of my elevator speech, do you want to hear more and exchange information?
